**Job Title:** Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
**Location:** Regional or Metropolitan Hospital, Australia (multiple locations available)
**Employment Type:** Full-time, Permanent or Fixed-term

**About the Role**

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Surgeons to join a thriving hospital network in Australia. Whether you prefer the fast-paced environment of a metropolitan tertiary centre or the community-focused setting of a regional hospital, we have opportunities to match your expertise and lifestyle.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality surgical care across a range of orthopaedic presentations, including elective and trauma cases. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of registrars, physiotherapists, and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes and advancing orthopaedic services in the region.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Provide consultant-level orthopaedic surgical services, including outpatient clinics, inpatient management, and operating theatre duties.
- Participate in an on-call roster for orthopaedic trauma and emergencies.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including registrars and residents.
- Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Engage in teaching, research, and continuous professional development as per hospital requirements.

---

**What We’re Looking For**

- Eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a broad range of orthopaedic conditions, including trauma and elective procedures.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice.

**We Offer**

- Competitive salary package (AU$400,000 – AU$600,000+ depending on experience).
- Generous relocation assistance and sponsorship for eligible overseas candidates (visa support available).
- Access to modern surgical facilities and advanced medical technology.
- Support for continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
- Work-life balance in one of the world’s most liveable countries—with options near beaches, national parks, or vibrant city centres.
- Opportunity for academic affiliation with a local university (where applicable).

**About the Location**

Australia offers an exceptional lifestyle: world-class healthcare, a strong economy, multicultural communities, and a stunning natural environment. From the sunny coasts of Queensland to the cultural hubs of Melbourne and Sydney, or the rural charm of regional New South Wales or Victoria—you’ll find a welcoming medical community and a supportive work environment.
